Minutes of Post Meeting May-9-2012:

 Meeting was opened by Adjutant John Lichtenauer at 19:30 with 13 members present.
Chaplain Jim Hunter said the opening prayer.
Minutes of Apr 11 meeting were approved as distributed.
Officers absent Sr. Vice Chris Pfister, Trustees Bob Langton, Hank Soetaert and Dr. Cattaneo.
Quartermaster Chuck Owens reported membership is 100% of quota. Report attached. New member
Rob Miller was present at this meeting. He is an Iraq veteran. Comrade John Womer
has signed up 2 more applicants besides Rob Miller. New applicants are Justin Billet, and Adam Turk.
Buddy Poppies drive will be Fri and Sat May 18-19 At the Shawnee Hy-Vee located at Shawnee
Mission Parkway and Pflumm.
Post will be participating in the Old Shawnee Days Parade which will be Sat June 2. We will meet in
front of First Watch Restaurant where we have in the past. Be there by 9am to help decorate the trailer etc.
The annual chili supper was fair. We only brought in about half the amount of people we usually do. After expenses we only cleared $470.00. Don’t know if the small crowd was due to the time of year we had the event, since the weather was nice, or if it was because we were late in getting the tickets out.

The flags for Memorial Day will be set on Fri May 25 at 8:30am, and will be taken down on Tues May 29 at 8:00am.

 After a trivia question by Comrade Ben Nicks, there being no further business, Chaplain Jim Hunter said the closing prayer and the meeting was adjourned at 20:30.
